Our Business

 Sulphur Animal Clinic is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary clinic providing comprehensive medical, surgical, dental care, and boarding.

We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories when necessary. The facility includes a well stocked pharmacy, surgery and dental suites, x-ray capabilities, and a closely supervised hospitalization area.

At Sulphur Animal Clinic we strive to offer sound medical advice as well as optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you to enjoy your pet for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when it is ill, but to help you learn to keep your friend happy and healthy.

        Veterinarians  

            Craig Courville, D.V.M.                                     

Dr. Courville was born and raised in Jennings, LA. He attended McNeese State University for 2 years before going to LSU Veterinary School, from which he graduated in 1990. He is an avid duck hunter and also enjoys playing basketball. He and his wife Dawn have 3 girls and reside in Lake Charles. Dr Courville came to work at SAC in 1994, and purchased the clinic shortly thereafter.

            Teresa Doucet, D.V.M.    

Dr. Doucet was born in New Orleans, but grew up in Lake Charles. She attended MSU before going on to LSU Veterinary School, from which she graduated in 1989. Dr. Doucet is an Ebay enthusiast and a big Saints fan. She, her husband Jack, and 2 sons reside in Lake Charles.

Office Manager

                     Our Clinic Cat

This is Ash, our clinic pet. She is not seen very often by our clients, as she likes to hang out in our treatment area in the rear of the clinic. She has been with us about 9 years.

SAC maintains an excellent staff of highly trained assistants, including a liscensed technician that have many years of experience caring for your pets.

                Brandi, RVT

Brandi was born and raised in Oakdale, LA. After high school she attended Northwestern State University and pursued her degree in Veterinary Technology. After graduating in the fall of 1998, she went to work in the Alexandria area until she and her husband moved to this area in the fall of 2004. She came to work at SAC in December 2005. She loves what she does and hopes to be able to help you and your beloved pet in the future. Outside of work she enjoys being with her own pets, horseback riding, motorcycling with her husband, and going to the movies.

                       Phyllis

Phyllis has been with us since 2003, and worked her way up from kennel attendant to vet assistant. She enjoys watching movies and being MawMaw to 2 girls. Phyllis is a BIG cat lover.

                              Susan

Susan started working for SAC in November 2005. She has a Labrador Retriever and 3 cats. Susan is also our Coggins Lab technician. She enjoys reading, fishing with her husband, and spending time with her pets.

Lynsey

Jessica

Jessica and her husband are stationed here with the Coast Guard for the next few years, and she is currently working toward becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. Jess has a great way with animals and is also a very good artist. We look forward to a few great years with Jess.
